Last year I had the great pleasure of creating some wedding invitations for a very unique and amazing wedding that took place in Cambridgeshire, UK. The concept, dreamt up by the bride and groom themselves, was to hold a retro music festival-style wedding to celebrate their day in an informal and fun way. The invitations were designed to mimic the style of a music festival poster, with plenty of whimsy and charm thrown in. I also designed them some custom ‘tickets’ to the wedstival at their request, which was a fantastic addition to the theme. Following the wedding, we worked together again to create a thank-you card, to finish things off.
I also worked with my partner to create a website for their wedding guests. It is adapted from a pre-existing theme, which worked well for the clients and also meshed well with my design: homebakedwedstival.com
This was an amazingly illustrative project for me. The clients had clear ideas but really let me showcase my style and, literally, ‘have fun with it.’ It is always a pleasure working with creative people, particularly on a project as uplifting and positive as this one. Thanks, Lou & Paul!
