I feel like there has been an overwhelming number of weddings, birthdays and baby showers recently, giving me a chance to hone my card making skills. Whenever I get the chance, I like to make personalized cards for people. Since I’m making the cards anyway, it just makes sense to add that personal touch. Here are some recent examples:
On the right is birthday card for my nephew, Elias James (of Elias the Hedgehog fame). He recently turned 2, and his mom threw him a schoolbus themed birthday party. For his card I created a custom crest with some of his favourite things. The other card is for one of my dear friends, who just had her first baby. He is a little boy named Niko.
It is also handy to have some slightly more generic cards on hand, that can be used more than once. Here are some of my favourites, for you to use + share with your own friends and family. Enjoy!
